I loved this recipe! Don't change a thing. I had to use a slow cooker because I was out all day and I might have added to much water because of the size of the pot. Consequently it was a tad thinner than I wanted after 6 hours. Solved that problem by adding a cup of milk and continued cooking on low for a total of 8 hours.

I added 7 cups of liquid ( more water than broth). The ham that is on the ham bone was enough ham for the soup. So easy and delicious!

Made it as written. It was phenomenal.

Followed the recipe almost to a T. I didn't have celery but I had a big leek leftover so I sliced that up and threw it in instead. It was amazing. So flavorful. My husband and 11 year old daughter loved it too!!

Great soup! I could not find a Hambone at my local grocery store so I used hamhocks instead and just under a pound of thick sliced ham. So I scraped off the meat from the hamhocks and the soup really came out great!

This is delicious. No changes need to be made. At the end of cooking, the peas weren't totally disintegrated, so I used a few short bursts of my immersion beater to make it creamier.

I will make again. Will use this every time I have a ham bone. Did not add water, used one pound split peas. One 32 oz container chicken broth and one 14.5 oz can of broth for 46.5 oz total, Added possibly a touch more garlic and carrot. Salt very lightly. Tossed everything including ham bone in my slow cooker set on low. After 5 hours cleaned off the ham bone discarded the bone and added one cup more cubed ham. Let cook for another 2 hours. In was just great. I change items only slightly to narrow the mix down to a store bought standard pack. No waste. A great creamy split pea soup.

I like the recipe, simple packed with flavor. I substituted carrot with sweet potato, and pork ham bone with smoked turkey. Other changes I made was browning the smoked turkey first then adding in the veggies to saute. Yummmmm

This turned out amazing! I used one box of chicken stock and water for the rest. Also added a couple chopped parsnips and probably double the amount of onions, celery, and carrots since I wanted it to be denser in veggies. Husband loved it!

Will make it again. Thick and tasty.

i overdid the water in a large soup pot versus a dutch oven. because the ham bone was quite large.Still came out really good but next time will be better. Takes a good 2.5 hrs

Made in Ninja 3 in 1 & slow cooked on high for 3 hours after sautéing veges. Also added a ham bone I had leftover for stock because I had it & I didn't have enough chicken stock. Added some diced potatoes & I sliced the carrots (about a cup) because I like them like that. Came out delicious!

Made it as written using a spiral cut ham bone. Didn't add any salt due to the saltiness of the ham, and didn't need it. Was absolutely delicious!

First time making split pea soup. Came out very well! I did mine in a soup pot as the bone was fairly large but otherwise followed instructions. The family loved it.

very delicious... made exactly as is but needed to add more water since it became very thick. Used 3 cups of chicken stock and 2 additional cups of water.... just kept adding a little at a time when it got too thick.
